Being the only girl in the family, born 10 years after 3 boys !

You can imagine how awkward it felt to me the first time I had to buy a bag, feminine shoes or dress up for a wedding ... when your ordinary outfit is based on a pair of Jeans, sneakers and a bulky jacket to avoid showing my shapes.

Now I can say that I really caught up !

But now and then I still like to come back to basics as for today's look.

With improved pieces though, and more refined than when I was a teenager !

in my husband's workshop.

Treat and Trick

I got myself a new jacket, but this time it's got denim sleeves....

you don't believe me ?

Well I'm sure you found out the trick !

The positive thing about a loose vest is that you can put it over any jacket and create the illusion of a new piece in your wardrobe.

And yesterday it was not warm enough (for me) to go sleeveless...

I could have also called this post 'Colourful Skulls' thanks to this

fresh tee shirt that caught my eye at ... Zara !

Dark Blue and Black

This was earlier this week when heavy grey skies were threatening our heads.

Hope this will be the last days I see lightnings and hear thunder.

We're in May after all ! We deserve a little sun...

On the other hand I really liked this Black and Dark Blue combination.

Biker Boots

Look at the beauties I found last week-end in Lille !

I was looking for biker boots. But not just plain black ones.

And these are definitely going to catch the eyes... Moreover they are very comfortable. They are from the Dutch brand Sacha.

(Shop in Lille, rue de Béthune. Plus they also have a store on-line, delivery only for the Netherlands and Belgium. Unless you have a husband who works in Belgium, as I do ...!!!)

I didn't want to pair my leather skirt from Zara in a girly way

(pumps, nice top, clutch, etc ). So this was the perfect occasion

to rock it with these boots.

By the way, I also received 3 strings of skull beads ordered on Ebay -

black and multi-colour - and here is a first easy DIY : black skull earrings.

Distressed Denim Skirt

Voilà !

Here is my version of the ripped, worn out, distressed denim skirt

as shown earlier today. I could have insisted on the holes making them

bigger but it's all a question of decency ... just kidding !

No, I was just too impatient to wear it

and I had enough with the scraping process !

Paired with my new Céline-like shoes from Zara and combat vest

found in Zara (again) on Saturday.

I quite enjoy it !

Féria de Nîmes

I know I'm a wee bit early to talk about the Nîmes Féria, it will take place

from May 23rd until May 28th.

And I'm not geographically bound to the Camargue area,

living 1000 km north !

It's more a family link as my brother lives there.

And a summer holiday destination !

That's why seeing my Camargue shirt yesterday reminded me so many memories and brought back the desire to hear the sound of cicadas and to feel the sun warming my body as I'm lying beside the swimming-pool at my brother's ...

To close the parenthesis about the Number Tee here is the outfit I wore

with the black version. The casual and sporty idea is broken with the white blazer which gives a fresh and chic touch to the outfit.

Back from Lille

Today we decided to go to Lille.

Just the two of us !

We had a good time walking in the Vieux Lille, in the Sun !

And of course we went to all our favourite shops ...

Have you noticed how fast these number Tee-shirts by Isabel Marant

have disappeared from stores or on-line site ? It pieces again !

Unless you live in a capital city or if you have secret links with the Fashion world or if you have a huge purse ... (sorry to talk about money !), it's almost impossible to get one and feel one of IM's girls !

I also want to have my piece of heaven !

After searching high and low on official on-line stores and second hand sites, I thought I could use my creative imagination. If you've been following me, you probably noticed that I like DIY items. But this time I was stuck by a lack of equipment... The idea being that I could have a similar Tee printed.

Last week I eventually found a Website which had the ideal type

of tee-shirts and the good logo !

It was very quick to create and in less than a week I received

my two tee-shirts !
