I think I've never been so much in need of colours ...

This crapy drizzly weather is not the most enjoyable for a Festive time.

So I need to bring in some contrast and lively colours !

 Getting in the Christmas Spirit with fancy nails !

Winter germs got the best of us last week, and we were sick

one after the other. A family epidemic !

Mon Chéri is closing the parenthesis today.

Bye bye Oysters, Snails, Foie Gras and Bûche de Noël for him !

We managed to keep a slice of Bûche for him ...

I must say I was quite proud of my home-baked Bûche for a first trial.

The chocolate dressing was a pure delight !

21 Décembre 2012 was supposed to be the beginning of Winter...

It's not raining (for a change),

it's not snowing and it's even quite mild with a 14°C.

Perfect to wear my winter's favourites and even leather shorts !

This week-end is probably going to be hectic since I'm very late

with all the Xmas preparations...

But I guess it's also part of the game !

Checks are another way of brightening a dull grey and rainy day.

Added to layering different types of checks and textures

and you have a nonchalant cosy combo.

I then finished of with my warm shearling jacket

and pointy Cleane to balance the casual effect.

Slouchy

There's nothing like slouchy pants to give an unexpected boyfriend look,

 even when these are out of leather.

Paired them with my super soft faux fur vest.

I'm still so glad that I could get my hand on the last one in store

in H&M last Winter.

And of course my Cleane are the best final addition to this look,

all made of classical pieces.

A bad bronchitis and fever confined me to bed for a few days

and with all my strength gone away, the taste for blogging also fadded.

End of Parenthesis ? We shall see !

These pics were taken last week, before the germs attacked !

One sure thing is that there are days when it's safer to be warmly clad

 and have reliable shoes on, not to become the center of attention

on slippery grounds !

Electric Yellow

A few years ago, I would have called them excentric or aggressive colours.

Neon, acid or electric yellows, pinks or greens.

I think I would even have walked away from their wearers !

Silly me !

But it seems my colour filter has decided to include more of these in my wardrobe.

It gently started with Zara's pink sweater last year.

Followed by the daring Altuzarra cotton knit this summer.

And I'm now proudly wearing this yellow-green jacket.

It also looks as if I had never worn so many skirts as this year, regardless of outside temperatures; it was hardly 1°C this morning !

Question of self confidence (it is high time once you've reached your Forties...!!)

But also question of appeal on Mon Chéri... !!
