Peacoat, Leather and Betty

  

It's getting seriously cold these days.

I've got the solution :

 perfect biker leather pants,

a snug and Mum-knitted arran jumper,

and a comfy pair of sneakers to walk about !

That's me ready for this Winter !

Because It's Sunday ...

 

I recently discovered a French girl's blog, Anaïk, who attracted my attention

when she presented the shawl she knitted.

There was not a minute to wait.

I hurried to my favourite DIY shop to buy the softest wool

and started this easy shawl knit.

Here is how you start :

Cast on three stitches on your needle and knit them in garter stitch.

Make an increase before knitting the last stitch.

You have now four stitches on your needle.

Knit the second raw and add a stitch before the last one.

That makes five stitches.

Go on like that until the end of your 200 gr wool yarn ...

You'll have a lovely shawl within six or eight weeks,

depending on how knit-aholic you become !!

As for me I've almost finished the beige shawl
 which I started mid November...

and I have already started a pink, a black, a white and a purple one !

Addiction !!


 The beige shawl is almost finished ...

... and a pink shawl is already on the needles ...

... followed by a black one ...

  

  

And I can't help visiting the wool aisle of my favourite DIY shop...

so this time I went for a purple and a white wool !

I visited a friend that morning and we had a couple of coffees

 to catch up with the latest news !

This end of year and festive season was not like any other one.

Lots of work and improvement being done in the house,

and lots of "computer deprivation".

 

But as my Grand'Mother was saying,

"As long as the month of January is not over,

 it's still time to wish a HAPPY NEW YEAR !!! "

But whether leaves were still covering the ground or

whether they have now totally disappeared,

this is a very warm outfit perfect for cold December days.

Drewitt Dress

I have often wondered if it is better to follow the majority

or if it is just as simple to go for clothes that suit you

 for their colour matching with your complexion.

Let me explain !

The IM Prewitt pattern with its leaves pattern

or the Drewitt version with flowers have quickly been sold out

due to interesting but basic colours such as black and blue.

But if you go for unusual colours such as a mix of black and light brown,

they are probably the ones that suit me best.

 

That's why I chose this one which happens to be just as versatile

thanks to a wide palette of matching colours.

I teamed it with black this time.

I'll show you later that natural beige is just as fantastic.
