Fighting against the Wind

There is always something annoying when you're about to take outside shots.

Either it's the rain or a dull grey sky.

And when it's sunny, it's too warm and damp.

Ach well, yesterday was too ... windy !! I guess that's what's spicing up shootings.

Anyway I wore this very comfortable and light summer knit. The asymmetrical cuts make it interesting to wake up a silhouette that would look too straight.

Also wore my super comfy and sexy heels.

It's nice to be on holidays, I can wear whatever pleases me !

Il y a toujours quelque chose qui cloche quand on doit prendre des photos en extérieur.

Que ça soit la pluie ou le ciel tout gris.

Et quand le soleil brille, il fait tout de suite trop lourd.

Bon alors, hier, il y avait trop de vent...! Mais c'est ce qui pimente les prises.

Quoi qu'il en soit, j'ai porté ce petit tricot léger et estival. Les coupes asymétriques lui donnent ce côté intéressant qui réveille la silhouette.

Mes sandales à talons super confortables ne me quittent plus.

C'est bien les vacances, pas de compte à rendre à personne !

Petite Laine

It's not particularly cold to wear a wool sweater

 but ... it's not that warm !

And since this Zara sweater was released last summer, it's time to give it another spin

 to give colours to the sky !

It seems I love colourful sweaters these days ...

I tried my best not to re-work the pictures: but the neon pink is really almost that strong.

Paired it with my home-made Okara skirt and

beloved comfortable Willow sneakers.

Ce n'est pas qu'il fasse super froid, mais ce n'est pas les grosses chaleurs !

Et puisque ce pull Zara est sorti l'année dernière à pareille époque, il est temps

de lui faire faire un petit tour.

On dirait bien que j'aime les pulls colorés ces temps-ci ...

J'ai essayé de ne pas trop retravailler ces photos mais le rose du pull est vraiment très pétard !

Pour le confort, rien de tel que ma jupe Okara et mes baskets Willow.

A Zebra in the City

Last winter, I made this skirt in a kind of furry fabric.

It feels soft and funny like a fur toy.

At the time I was far from imagining that zebras would be back on the front scene this summer !

Je me suis fait cette jupe cet hiver. Le tissu est comme de la fourrure.

On dirait que je porte une peluche.

A l'époque, j'étais loin d'imaginer que les zébrures seraient à nouveau

 au devant de la scène cet été !

To make a long story short...

Two months ago I went to Lille (where there is a Sacha shop) and saw these Chloé Susan or Susanna look-alike boots... but they no longer had my size ! As I was going out of the shop, with my disappointment in my shopping bag, I saw this invitation : "Visit Sacha.fr" on the Shop window. I was in such a hurry to come back home ! But the thing was that the .fr web address was relinked to the Dutch site : "Deliveries only to the Netherlands and Belgium".

This didn't stop me: my husband works in Belgium...

I placed my order, checked that the delivery address was the plant where my husband works.

And waited, and waited and waited...

After 10 days I sent an email asking if my order had been registered or had been sent. No answer. Second mail, third mail.

Arrrggghhh !!! What 's going on ?

After 3 weeks, I got a phone call in English from a girl working for the Sacha brand in the Netherlands telling me that my shoes were...somewhere in the north of France.?? §§ !!  

She also told me that my email address was not working. So I gave her another address from which I also wrote my home address and again my husband's work address. She told me she was going to do all the necessary steps with the Post Office. And after ten days I got an email from my husband saying he had tried on beautiful studded booties !!!

Yeah ! At last !!  

So that was the end of a ... long story.

 Sometimes ordering on the Web holds surprises in store !

Leather Top and Ripped Jeans

You may notice a slight difference with this leather top I was wearing at the end of May. It wasn't falling nicely on the shoulder so I cut off a little the leather. And I feel more comfortable in it now. Ready for a new life !

Vous aurez peut-être remarqué une légère différence entre ce haut en cuir que je portais à la fin Mai et celui-ci. C'est le même mais j'ai légèrement raccourci les épaules qui ne tombaient pas bien. Ca ne faisait pas joli. Maintenant que je lui ai donné un autre aspect, ce petit haut est prêt à une autre vie !

Yesterday was ideal to give a spin to my see-through wide pants.

They give a summer feeling without revealing too much. And as you can see I had to "sail" between a shower, a short sunshine spell and a downpour...

For the last school day of my children I also attracted curiosity looks : would transparency be a question of age ? better accepted in southern latitudes ? or is it just that people are narrow-minded wherever you live ?

Anyway I never felt so comfortable in my age and in the way I dress now.

And your encouraging comments also boost me forward. Thanks !

Hier était le jour idéal pour sortir mon pantalon large.

Il a un petit côté estival sans être trop transparent. Et comme vous pouvez le voir, j'ai dû naviguer entre une averse, un rayon de soleil et un déluge...

Pour le dernier jour d'école des enfants, j'ai aussi attiré des regards curieux : est-ce que la transparence serait réservée à un certain âge ? mieux acceptée sous des latitudes sudistes ?

ou est-ce juste que les gens sont coincés, où que vous habitiez ?

Quoi qu'il en soit, je ne me suis jamais sentie aussi bien dans mon âge, et dans la façon dont je m'habille. Et vos commentaires m'encouragent à aller de l'avant. Merci !

White Mesh Tee

Sales started already a week ago and I had time to make a tour round the shops

where I had spotted "Wanties".

Not too many things but missing essentials. Such as a white mesh tee.

It's actually the "cousin" of the black tee i wore here,

but I cut the white sleeves off. (scissors and needles again...)

Paired it with my version of the ACNE Fine distressed denim skirt

and my Sam Edelman heels.

I like the minimalist side of it.

Les Soldes ont débuté il y a déjà une semaine et j'ai eu le temps de faire le tour des magasins où j'avais repéré des "envies".

Rien d'extravagant mais des basiques qui manquaient à mon armoire.

Tel que ce tee-shirt blanc ajouré. C'est en fait le "cousin" du noir que je portais ici et dont j'ai coupé les manches blanches. (ciseaux et aiguilles, me voilà...).

Associé à ma version de la jupe en jeans destroy de chez ACNE et mes Sam Edelman, ça donne à ce look un petit côté minimaliste que j'aime bien.

Once a week





On the way back from school, we walk past a park with luxurious flowers. The kids love it. At this time of year bees and bumble bees are busy flying from one flower to the other. And if we are lucky enough butterflies will be dancing their ballet above our heads. Summer is here !

As you can see, my Quincy shirt is "on duty" again !

It's almost physical... I need to wear it at least once a week !


Sur le chemin du retour de l'école, nous passons près d'un parc. Les enfants adorent y faire un détour et se régalent des yeux en observant les abeilles et les bourdons qui butinent d'un massif fleuri à l'autre. Avec un peu de chance, nous serons survolés par un ballet de papillons. L'été est bien arrivé !

Comme vous pouvez le constater, ma chemise Quincy a repris du service !
On dirait que c'est physique, j'ai besoin de la porter au moins une fois par semaine...
